magazine.co.uk is Jellyfish Connect's fast growing magazine ecommerce site selling over 750 magazine brands and presenting over 2,500 different offer types to users worldwide. The site works in partnership with the UK’s leading publishing companies and strives to place their magazines in front of the right user at the right time in order to maximise potential subscription sales.
By using appropriate strategies available within the Google Shopping platform, magazine.co.uk not only achieved publisher’s objectives in terms of raising their individual magazine’s profile and delivering sales within the agreed CPAs, but also helped deliver magazine.co.uk's aggressive sales growth targets. This was achieved by including custom data in the Shopping data feed and we segmented products and adjusted bids based on custom attributes such as CPA (Cost Per Acquisition), magazine category and publisher.
Seasonality is a major factor which influences KPIs for magazine sales, with peak sales periods corresponding with key consumer gifting times of year such as Christmas and Mother’s Day, so we have to carefully monitor goals between volume and revenue depending on the time of year. Thanks to the custom attributes and bespoke product segmentation available, magazine.co.uk achieved YOY growth in sales via Google Shopping of 84%. magazine.co.uk has since invested an additional 162% into Google Shopping campaigns which allows us to dynamically create ads and grow our keyword portfolio using data from the automated data feed fetches and this is ensuring we continue to grow sales volumes from this important marketing channel.
